Made by a family, the slow way
Based Supplies is a small, family-run company. We make skin and hair care from a few real ingredients, like grass-fed tallow, beeswax, magnesium and onion hydrosol.
Our founder started with one rule, and we still follow it: if we wouldn't put it on our own family, we don't sell it.

How we make our tallow
No shortcuts, start to finish
Tallow is only as good as the fat it comes from and the way it's rendered. So we're picky about both.
- Kidney suet only, the firm, clean fat around the kidneys
- From grass-fed, grass-finished cattle
- Rendered at low heat, so the vitamins survive
- Never bleached
- Strained several times, so there's no beef smell
