It's a firm balm, not a whipped cream, because there's no added water. Warm a pea-size bit between your fingertips for a few seconds and it melts into a silky oil that sinks in within minutes.

Is it safe for babies and kids?
Many parents and grandparents use it on babies and kids, after the bath and on dry patches. Test a small spot first. For broken, weeping or infected skin, check with your doctor first.
What's the difference from the scented balm?
It's the same balm with the same 4 ingredients. The scented balm adds a touch of sandalwood, neroli, pine and rose essential oils (under 1%). This one has nothing added.
What does it smell like?
Like honey. The tallow is rendered at low heat and strained until it has no smell.
Will it make my face greasy?
It goes on rich and sinks in within a few minutes. Start with a pea-size amount for your whole face. If it feels heavy, use less, or apply it at night. Many customers with oily skin use it every day.
Will it clog my pores or break me out?
Tallow rates 1 out of 5 on the comedogenic (pore-clogging) scale, which is very low. Many customers with oily or breakout-prone skin use it daily. If your skin is very acne-prone, start with a thin layer every other night for the first week.
Why is it hard in the jar?
It's a balm with no added water, so it firms up when it's cool. Rub a little between your fingertips for a few seconds and it melts. Putting it on slightly damp skin after a shower helps too.
How long does a jar last?
Most customers say a jar lasts a month or more with daily use on the face and neck. A little goes a long way. Once opened, use it within 12 months.
When will I see a difference?
Most people feel softer, calmer skin in the first few days. Lines and dark spots take longer: usually 2 to 4 weeks to see, and they keep improving for months.
Can I use it with steroid creams or a prescription?
